What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

Having 10K steps and 20mins of stretching is good enough to manage this routine. Definitely energy levels will be higher as we sweat out to remove cortisol and unwanted hormones from the body which create anxiety. Experiencing the reality and relating it to the studies. Thanks to all the teachers for sharing their divine experiences and wisdom.

What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

It's amazing feeling and very similar to Vipassana meditation. Sitting silently in garden for longer duration after office hours gives amazing relaxation and rejuvenation.

What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation benefit from active listening?

I started listening to every family member on how was there day, what's new and are they happy about what they are doing.? Anything I can help them with in the journey and also thanking them being part of my life - this is really striking everyone since this is kind of gratitude practise and care giving. Just listening to them for 15 mins really makes an impact.

Thank you for making us bring this awareness in mind and practise.

What one thing will you do right away to reduce your waste? What is the second thing you will do?

I was practising this already but stopped for a while as family takes care of these activities since long time (COVID lockdown). Thanks for reminding me back to the routine - I started consciously doing this to support family and at the same time increasing my awareness on how much I use/waste everyday.

I practice mindfulness already a good while. It is easy, as you just remember that it is simply being present at any moment and whatever you do. Mindful walking, mindful cooking, mindful dish washing.. Just be present, and you are already actively engaged in living a mindful life

Largely, evidence indicates negative effects of prolonged screen time on health including mental health. Although digital technology provides avenues to connect socially, overindulgence or overuse of digital devices can be harmful in the long term. Promoting healthy digital habits and positive use of digital technology is inexorable to avert the ill effects of excessive screen time.

Sustainable food aims to avoid damaging or wasting natural resources and at the sametime is available for everyone and is affordable.
