When I started to read more about what water justice means and how it impacts so many I was stunned. Fresh clean drinkable water has always been available to me and my family, and I really thought that water injustice was a third world issue. I know differently now. This is a world wide issue and must be addressed.

REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Get Involved in the Water Justice MovementWho is affected by water insecurity in your region? How are they affected? How are you impacted by water insecurity?
Tiffany OGrady 4/29/2022 2:04 PMThe water justice movement is one of those mechanisms, as it aims to provide an umbrella for “more democratic water policies and more sustainable development practices that promote a more equitable water distribution.
When I started to read more about what water justice means and how it impacts so many I was stunned. Fresh clean drinkable water has always been available to me and my family, and I really thought that water injustice was a third world issue. I know differently now. This is a world wide issue and must be addressed. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Learn About Equitable Food AccessHow is food equity and access linked to a sustainable future?
Tiffany OGrady 4/29/2022 2:01 PMI learned there a several ways we can help drive equity and access to food. Each of these seems attainable with effort and determination. I will continue to research and find out how I as individual and as a member of a family and community can advance equity................................- Healthy corner stores initiatives
- Nonprofit grocery stores
- Food cooperatives
- Farm to school
- Procurement policies
- Permitting and licensing
- Land use or zoning ordinances
- Funding a local food system

Tiffany OGrady 4/27/2022 8:43 AMabsolutely love my food dehydrator, bananas go in, chips come out! Peel into the compost to grow veggies!-
Tiffany OGrady 4/27/2022 12:40 PMSha- below is the link for the dehydrator that I have. I do recommend getting a large one, especially if you want a trail mix style snack. Its so easy, get the fruit, slice thin, I like to cut on the diagonal, they are a little bigger that way, then set it! It takes 8-10 hours for bananas. Each fruit or meat takes a different amount of time. I do one fruit each day, then at the end of the week I mix them together with nuts and chocolate covered raisins :)
