Who is affected by water insecurity in your region? How are they affected? How are you impacted by water insecurity?

The water justice movement is one of those mechanisms, as it aims to provide an umbrella for “more democratic water policies and more sustainable development practices that promote a more equitable water distribution.
When I started to read more about what water justice means and how it impacts so many I was stunned. Fresh clean drinkable water has always been available to me and my family, and I really thought that water injustice was a third world issue.  I know differently now. This is a world wide issue and must be addressed.

I learned there a several ways we can help drive equity and access to food. Each of these seems attainable with effort and determination. I will continue to research and find out how I as individual and as a member of a family and community can advance equity................................
    1. Healthy corner stores initiatives
    2. Nonprofit grocery stores
    3. Food cooperatives
    4. Farm to school
    5. Procurement policies
    6. Permitting and licensing
    7. Land use or zoning ordinances
    8. Funding a local food system
