  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Climate & Ecosystems Learn About Invasive Species
What is one invasive species in your region and how does it impact your region's ecosystem?

Doesn't mean that one specie is thriving that it is already a good sign that the ecosystem is healing. Example squirrels in BGC!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I like the training. Hoping the new training modules will be released!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Climate & Ecosystems Calculate Your Carbon Impact
What is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?

To buy more locally produced products. I do want to eat healthier. I actually plan to "copy" the menu in a restaurant in Podium. It's called "the daily cut" they have slightly pricey meals but I think it consists a more healthier diet than the ones Im currently consuming now
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities Induction Cooking
Would you consider using an induction cooking surface? If you have used one before, what do you like about induction cooking?

Yes! I am currently using and induction cooker right now. I did not know that there were environmental benefits. The building admin just doesn't allow gas cooking.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Economy & Communities Carry My Trash
What one thing will you do right away to reduce your waste? What is the second thing you will do?

    1. Number 1 contributor to my household waste is my dog's waste. I usually put disposable potty pads so he can pee/poop in the safety of my home. One thing is to use the reusable potty pads, however, I still need to check since by using the reusable one, then I'll just shift the environmental burden to the natural resources by using water to clean the pad. hmmmm.
    2. To maximize my resources. I think resource efficiency is still the best way to go when it comes to reducing waste also to segregate the waste. Sometimes, when waste are mixed, then the landfill won't get to maximize that waste again

What was it like to create a readiness plan? Did you find other resources you could share?

Planning is fun especially when you plan things for emergency reasons. I actually have planned a "bug out" bag (haha) that you can also check here https://bugoutbagacademy.com/free-bug-out-bag-list/

Economy & Communities Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

    Augusto Luis Labos's avatar
Augusto Luis Labos 4/08/2022 4:01 AM
I can express my personality by defining my style and invest to clothes that lasts. You can always "upcycle" your clothes or mix and match  them

I live alone. So first thing I did was to check all nearest fire exit in my building nearest from my unit. I also checked my doors at night and make sure my fire system is working.
