In our region so many communities are impacted by PFOA contamination, rendering water unsafe to drink.  In our area, infrastructure is also problematic, and often our water supplies are contaminated causing water boiling alerts or the need to bring water into the town/village until issues are fixed.

Out youngest daughter turned 4 today, and I had the unfortunate experience of removing the packaging for a set of dolls she received from Grandma. Not only did it come close pushing me to the brink of patience trying to open it, the amount of plastic in the packaging was alarming!

I realized that taking shorter showers isn't much of a challenge for me....however I've shifted my attention to my, almost, teenage daughter, which has been a much greater challenge!

I am adding organic mulch to my own yard, have had my yard certified as a Monarch habitat, and purchase native perennial plants for my pollinator gardens. Mostly the rabbits eat these, but I keep trying!

My daughter and I are vegetarians working toward more vegan meals.  We have been enjoying trying new recipes.  I have been making broth out of leftover food cuttings and bringing leftovers in for lunch.

I walk my dog every day and have been walking with friends now that it is light after work.
