Oh how awesome to reach 200,000 actions taken!  So close - the impacts of our collective actions has been phenomenal to me.

Yeah, we did it!  Unless something has changed, I think we ended up being the top team in Washinton State!!!  Woo-Hoo!

Why is it important to honor native and indigenous peoples and cultures? What have you learned that is important to you? If you identify with or are a member of an indigenous group, how does your community practice sustainability?

It's seems so logical to me to reach out and find out what our world/place was before we got here.  I am not only speaking of our native Americans but those in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska or where ever we roam. The native and indigenous peoples all over the world were always connected to our earth, found ways to use what was there and live life.  Our ways are NOT necessarily the right ways.  We are the ones that have a lot to learn from the people who came before us. Kind of like looking to the past at your family roots and the like.
We are all connected and important. When we allow ourselves to learn and live with others, we truly enhance to world we live in - and move toward a peaceful existence

I met a big, healthy slug trying to eat fast food today.  I suggested to him that nature provided a much healthier array of food.  I don't think he believed me (probably a teenage slug) but I picked up the fast food litter and left him to consider other possibilities.  The ocean is so amazing!

Perhaps only a east sider would give such consideration to coast side slugs :)

Shamelessly I will miss the trophy sparkles when I check in - only one more day to go.
It has been weather-wise where I live a crazy month and this Eco-Challenge has been a good touch stone.
Can't wait for a bit of warm temps and long overdue flowers - while cognizant our world is burning and need to appreciate cold.  So much to learn for our future!  This has been great tool.  THANK y'all who made it possible for me to be here and to my team-mates putting up with my seemingly endless chatter!

Thanks to this Eco-Challenge I found the Indigenous cemetery so close to where I live.
