I don't consider myself "skilled" at mending, but I do know how to sew enough to patch small holes (inconspicuously if they're on a seam), reattach buttons, etc.  My only tip is to try to find thread that matches your garment so your handiwork isn't too visible!

We need to take collective action now because the effects of climate change are growing increasingly catastrophic. 

The equitable treatment of people is the only way to develop sustainably. Basic fairness has positive ripple effects throughout society (education, transportation, health care, etc. )

Caring for the most vulnerable among us helps everyone, including the environment.  A rising tide lifts all boats.

I was most taken aback by the forced sterilization of institutionalized Black and Brown women that apparently still continues today.  Policymakers, a group in which women are shamefully underrepresented, have too much say over what happens to women's bodies; they should have none at all.
