April 29 at 11:33 AMwork life balance allows for individuals to get outside and connect with the earth that give us life!!

April 29 at 9:53 AMAfter checking my purchases for a month, I realized that I am purchasing fast delivered grocery very often, which makes me pay more in general and lose the opportunity to make my own healthy & reduced-waste meals. I started going into groceries for bulk purchases, selecting food mindfully and reduce my wastes.

April 29 at 9:48 AMI used to practice mindfulness 1-2 times a week, but it was no longer a habit for me during last 2-3 months. Eco-challenge check-ins reminded me of doing it each day, I felt so much more in peace with people I integrate with, myself and my surroundings. I am sure I will continue sparing some time to wind down & breathe!

April 29 at 6:18 AMHave been picking almost only vegetarian/vegan options when going out to restaurants in New York, it's been fun trying to foods and seeing restaurants be creative with innovative dishes and flavors :)

But I loved the challenge and sharing my progress and sustinable behavior with my friends and colleagues :)

April 28 at 6:04 AMI've been training for the 5 Boro Bike Tour, and this was my last training day of the month. It's been great being outdoors... found some awesome trails I never would have known about.

It's a bit disappointing to see that companies are solely using earth day as a marketing tool to drive more profits, but, at the end of the day, if that's another way to get consumers involved, educated and more aware, I guess...

April 25 at 10:29 AMI've been reading a lot of articles on ecological cleaning products, and informing myself. DYI tips for cleaning (e.g., using vinegar and essential oils) are great, but I'm also glad to see big companies like P&G come out with environmentally friendly products (from packaging to ingredients), with their "Nine Elements" line...

April 25 at 10:22 AMAction needs to take place at a macro level. Having a metal straw does nothing if big corporations are still unaccountable.
