Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Shampoo and conditioner bottles. I have placed my first order to a bar shampoo. I see so many people sponsoring this, I hope it was not just about the paycheck. Super excited to give this a try.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health & Equity Learn About Gender Diversity
Why is equity for gender diverse individuals important for a just and sustainable society?

Society is sustainable when all voices are heard, valued and allowed to be creative. We don't get there alone, we get there as a team inclusive of all.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Education & Livelihood Work-Life Balance
How does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?

I am able to focus more during work hours. I know that once I have completed the task I can transition my energy to things I enjoy, like time with my family. walking the dog or being out doors. By setting my own schedule and time blocking, I am able to enjoy my time on the weekends worry free. So it goes both ways, when I am at work, work is 100% my focus and when I am off, fun and family and occasionally a nap is my focus.

Yes, they are Stasher brand. Costly, but worth it for the very reason you described below. My BF was one step ahead of me so she warned me about the quality. I am looking forward them having the zipper at the top version like the progression of ziplock bags.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health & Equity Spend Time Outside
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

I use the time my son is at practice to walk around the high school track, rather than drive home and return to get him 3 hours later. I reduce pollution by not adding a trip and I get some quiet time in to myself.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Basic Needs & Security [WSP Custom Action] Learn about Water Conservation and Equity
In your community, what are the best ways to engage the public? How would you spread the word about water conservation programs?

Taking transit and pulling out my solar power brick of links to small talk with some strangers about clean energy and it is a small leap to talk about water conservation items.

Taking the bus or train is a great way to get in a short morning walk and get your body and mind energized for a work day while reducing emission in the air. With gas prices so high, why not give it a try!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Basic Needs & Security Take 5-Minute Or Less Showers
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

I think it has been a while since we last looked at our faucet flows and may be time to update them again. This will help reduce excess water when washing hands or brushing teeth.
