    While the SDGs are broadly framed with 17 separate goals, they inherently interlink with each other forming an indivisible system with the three dimensions of social, economic and environmental. On the one hand, achieving one goal or target may contribute to achieving other goals or targets.

    Disaster risk is expressed as the likelihood of loss of life, injury or destruction and damage from a disaster in a given period of time. The definition of disaster risk reflects the concept of hazardous events and disasters as the outcome of continuously present conditions of risk.
