Elena Rus 4/30/2022 9:40 PMI learned that I need to change my daily actions in order to develop a sustainable lifestyle, and I also gained some healthy habits. -
Elena Rus 4/27/2022 9:57 PMI like to drink matcha instead of coffee, and I discovered a brand called Moya which produces organic crops in Japan where pesticides are not used and the soil is not sterilized. Their orders are packed without plastic, and this will make me reduce the amount of plastic used every day.
I believe that it is really important to encourage and to buy food/clothes from companies that think and act sustainably. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Ecological & Xeriscape GardeningWhat ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?
Elena Rus 4/27/2022 5:36 AMFrom my father, I learned the importance of using organic fertilizers for growing plants, so at home, we collect separately the shells of vegetables/fruits/eggs and they turn into compost. Also, in the country, the cow poop is turned into compost because mixed with the soil provides a great fertilizer for vegetables like potatoes or corn. -
Elena Rus 4/25/2022 11:53 PMDuring the Easter holiday, I decided not to open my laptop and I spent quality time with my family and friends.
We painted eggs using onion peels instead of using paints, and we walked to the church instead of taking the car. I also bought a bamboo brush for dishes for my mom too in order to use it instead of a dish sponge. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Calculate Your Carbon ImpactWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Elena Rus 4/20/2022 7:10 AMIn order to reduce my carbon footprint, I started to replace plastic bags with reusable bags.
I already try to use it as little as possible the car and I walk when I go shopping, to the gym, out in the city. -

Elena Rus 4/13/2022 1:02 AMCluj county belongs entirely to the watershed of Somes, Mures, and Cris.
By 2023, Cluj will be the first county to connect 100% to water and sewerage. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Know Your ProduceWhat surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?
Elena Rus 4/08/2022 6:30 AMUntil now I have used the list posted by A.N.S.V.S.A. in order to identify the withdrawal of the aliments from supermarkets.
It is really shocking to see that the aliments that we consume daily contain genetically modified seeds and pesticides.
