It's been years since I've been to Muir Woods.  I can't wait to see the redwood trees and hike some of the trails.

Before heading home the other day, I decided to walk around the garden at Salesforce Tower and so glad I took some time out for me!

Since I've been working from home, I find my work days are longer.  After I log off now, I leave the house to take a walk.  It's my mental break before I have to start dinner and do other things.  It's important for all of us to take care of ourselves.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Climate & Ecosystems Support Local Pollinators
Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

    Rita Poon's avatar
    Rita Poon 4/27/2022 5:03 PM
It's important because they help many flowering plants produce their seeds.  My favorite are butterflies.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Climate & Ecosystems Reduce Single-Use Plastics
What plastic or single-use items do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted?

When purchasing produce at the grocery store, we would use the store provided plastic bags.  Now we bring our reusable mesh produce bags and use those instead.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

The nonnative plants that thrive in the parks, such as Monterey Pine and English Ivy can directly threaten habitat for the federally endangered mission blue and San Bruno elfin butterflies.  Appreciate all the volunteers and staff that keep these invasive plant populations under control!
