How can you incorporate electricity-based solutions in your daily life?

    Geno Persico's avatar
    Geno Persico 4/25/2022 7:40 AM
By using less gas-based appliances and more electricity-based. Although I live in an apartment, my goal is to install solar panels on my roof when I own a home.

A month ecochallenge should be extended to be every month of the year! Just like everyday should be Earth day - we as a society need to strive to work on having more sustainable lifestyles for the environment and our well-being.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Education & Livelihood Volunteer In My Community
What is one thing you can do to help your community become more sustainable?

    Geno Persico's avatar
    Geno Persico 4/21/2022 10:13 AM
By getting people to go out and clean up trash. From there, you can start to grow and provide much needed sustainability lessons to people who are unsure of it and the benefits it provides. Cleaning up trash will educate those the issue with litter and the growing micro-plastics issue as well as give them the ability to see nature and why it's important to keep it clean!

Education - providing education to all is crucial in order for our society to prosper. But adding to that, providing education on sustainability and introducing young learners to these concepts will plant a seed in their young and creative brains to create answers to future questions.

Sustainability and reliable energy. It's important to have ubiquitous energy to ensure all systems are running, but promoting and switching to clean and renewable energy can ensure the former but also reduce the carbon footprint.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Geno Persico 4/21/2022 10:06 AM
It eye-opening to think about the finer details of preparing and be ready for an event to happen. It's important to cover the basics and know what your moving parts should be if you need to set your plan into motion.

A linking factor between this group is water. It is important that we manage and protect our hydrologic cycle. The hydrologic cycle is referred to as the bloodstream of the Earth. Rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans are connected through it. Within these and other bodies of water are vast and unique ecosystems that promote motion and sustainability.
