Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities Mend Clothing
What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

Honestly, it was really easy to mend my clothing. I always keep a sewing kit in my home because I would rather mend an item of clothing than buy something new.

Better than I excepted! These challenges are making me take a step back and really look into my impact.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity Practice Mindfulness
What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

For me it was a moment to reflect and relax. Practicing mindfulness gives me a moment to reset and go onward with my day.

I regularly buy a drink from Starbucks in the morning. I have subsisted a few days of the week to bring my own drink from home in a reusable cup.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Nadiya Johnson 4/13/2022 5:17 AM
I have reduced my purchasing habits to just my morning breakfast. It's hard to shake my morning routine. I will start out  just a couple days making my breakfast at home.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Education & Livelihood Work-Life Balance
How does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?

Work-life balance is essential to the longevity of ones career. Balancing both allows me to enjoy rather than sacrificing one for the other.

One of my favorite meals is at Taco Mac. Any of there burgers have an option for an impossible patty. Best vegetarian burger I have had !
