It's frightening to see how impactful the little things are. I am working to reduce food waste and I drive almost never (doctor, store) in a hybrid vehicle. I need to keep reducing!

I'm not certain why an article on climate change is included in the resources for this activity, but it was enlightening. As for conversations - I struggle to stay focused in many meetings and feel a need to multi-task, which I know is not reflective of active listening. My brain operates in hyper mode most of the time, so I need to be more aware of when I start to wander.

Local Walgreens locations have boxes at many of their pharmacy counters. Maybe also check with your doctor's office for suggestions?

A homeless community in my area is impacted by a lack of access to a clean and consistent water source. Although they have space, there is no unfettered access to water and sewer facilities.

I was surprised carrots were not on the Clean 15 list. And also, ew! The things I love are on the Dirty Dozen list (strawberries!). Definitely going to look for more organic options and learn how to successfully grow my own produce.

I've been using a meal service this month, to reduce food waste through structured meal prep and smaller portions. It's definitely helped us reduce both what we eat and what we throw away!

I turn off the water when brushing my teeth, and use a low flow only when needed.

What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

I am an on-and-off practicer and today did a End of Day Porch meditation. Although I live in the middle of the city, as the cars drove by I imagined them like ocean waves (they come in waves due to a stoplight at the end of our one-way street.) Meditation really does help me to recenter and let go of some held anxiety.

Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

Taking care of pollinators is vital to our food supply and also to the health of other animals who rely on flowers and insects for food. My favorite lesser known pollinators are beetles!

It's very difficult for me to get my brain to stop going through the "never-ending list".  But, when I'm able to detach, I almost drift off to a sleep-like state.  It's very refreshing.
