I recently took a permaculture class and water collection was a hot topic. I've been watching how the water flows in my yard and selected my garden bed locations this year based on natural depressions that will require less watering.

Central midwest region shows 60% !!! still coming from coal. I had no idea. Definitely motivation for solar and to look at other utility offerings in the area.

I love making roasted veggie bowls. Recently roasted broccoli & cauliflower with quinoa, lemon tahini dressing, and sustainably harvested ramps!

Honoring the land and the communities that lived on this land before me, reviewing the map seeing many tribes who touched the area that I live now.

I love how impact investing creates opportunities for financial gain while supporting sustainable efforts. It doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be) solely driven by philanthropic funding.

We've replaced a lot of the single use cleaning items in our house with reusable, recyclable, or plastic-free options (ex. hand soap bottles to tablet-based refills, liquid laundry detergent to detergent sheets in paper, and plastic-wrapped paper towel rolls to recyclable paper-wrapped rolls).

Spending more time intentionally exploring new areas helped to feel like a part of the community.  There were several urban parks and natural areas that I was completely unaware of until looking.
  • April 30 at 3:15 PM
I will try to buy more food locally and avoid foods that are "water heavy" in production.
  • April 30 at 1:49 PM
I had no idea natural gas is a contributor to climate change.   I would absolutely consider an induction stove when I need a new stove.
  • April 30 at 1:39 PM
I’ve always been conscious of my water usage as my parents were very mindful to not waste water. I will bring a water bottle with me on my vacations so I don’t purchase bottled water.
