Pleased to find my water footprint was low but I can still do better.  I will focus on even faster showers and more rainwater harvesting for the xeriscape.

Lunch made with fresh herbs from the garden is so satisfying!  Apparently the squirrels are fond of digging up my thyme, though. Grr!

Annoyed to see my neighbors' sprinkler system going despite the active rainfall.  Have people never heard of rain sensors and drought restrictions?  Time to make a call...

Bummed that my lavenders suddenly look like they have too much nitrogen and won't be flowering much for the pollinators.  :-(  They'd been doing so well before!

Great job to everyone who helped with the Park cleanup yesterday!

Well done to our Green Team, AAZK, docents, and Zoo Crew volunteers for their efforts in the post-Easter weekend Park cleanup this morning!

Took some Hive brand mail-in Terracycle bags to my parents yesterday to help them collect all the miscellaneous, difficult-to-recycle packaging items.

Last night I enjoyed one of my favourite summer vegetarian meals for the first time this season - broccoli, artichoke, tomatoes, kalamata olives, and scallions sauteed with olive oil, garlic, lemon, and oregano and topped with fresh basil and feta cheese.  Tasty and filling!

Green Team and SAZoo Crew, if you're planning to participate in the cleanup on Monday, check out the San Antonio River Authority's  Be River Proud initiative and take the pledge to not let litter trash our river.  https://www.sariverauthority.org/trash-initiative

Today I attended a how-to presentation for the litter-tracking app Litterati, which compiles data on litter picked up by users around the world in an effort to identify and stop the sources.  I'm excited to see it in action during next week's park cleanup.
