Happy last day of earth month!!

There are so many different non profits to learn about and learn from. The ones that are important to me contribute to the conservation of animals both here in the Northwest and around the world. Conservation Northwest is one of the largest contributors to the data collection and volunteer work here in WA, and I learned a lot about their...

I’ve never seen these lists, and thought it was interesting that there was such a diverse range of food types on each. I know I make the right choices for my health in taking advantage of all the local farms and produce stands in my area, and enjoy going straight to the fields many months of the year.

I have a small water footprint, until its accounted for food and travel.  If only the small positive choices we make on a daily basis with our personal living habits could translate into more water saved. Calculating my personal footprint helps me imagine how much water large corporations and facilities use on a daily basis, and how important...

I wanted to make sure I joined this challenge again this year since I learned SO MUCH last year. This year has been more challenging; I’ve been busier, feeling more stressed, and just not feeling positive about the state of the world. Even though I haven’t checked in daily, when I do I know I’m making a lot of small changes, even when I’m not...

I’m super excited to try out the company Ridwell! They take many different materials that I haven’t been able to properly recycle or trash in the past. There are also many different waste facilities that are located in the surrounding counties that I now will utilize!

I made the most of my mini staycation, and didn’t travel more than 100 miles away from my house. By planning driving loops I was able to enjoy new and fun places while ending back near my house at night!

I’ve been exploring almost weekly for as long as I remember, and if I don’t get my outdoor time in, it really effects my mental health! But I was getting stuck visiting the same places, so this has made me try new ones! I found a new beach that is now going to be one of my favorites!
