Place my washing machine and dishwasher on the water conversation settings.

I have now been conserving water and having family members take shorter showers, turning off the water while brushing their teeth and turning off the water while soaping and rubbing their hands during hand washing.

My personal water footprint was 920 gallons/day, or half the US average! It probably helps that I live in an apartment (vs single family home), and don't eat meat. I like how this calculator included diet, meat production uses a LOT of water!

I found out the other day that certain types of apples ( I LOVE apples) require more water to grow than others. Honeycrisp is a big water hog, so I stopped eating them and went back to Gala (which is my favorite anyway). I  have reduced my meat intake quite a bit, but it's more of a choice, I'm not liking beef or pork and don't seem to miss it.

    Hello fellow earth lovers!
I am a little late to the party this year, but I finally made it. I am so happy our ecology minded numbers are growing and I am looking forward to a meaningful earth month again this year. I always learn so much during this time.

Take Care and Let's Take Care of Mother Earth, too!

With COVID, I am working from home. I have found I work more and take less breaks or time for myself and family. I will now make a point to break for lunch making sure to connect with my husband or check on a family member by phone during this time.

Anything I can do to help future generations, I am all in. My goal is to cut back or do away with my families use of plastic.

What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

I mended a pair of my spouse's work pants using an iron on patch, then sewing around the edges! Hopefully it helps them last longer.
