    Basic Needs & Security
How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

I started off only buying and eating vegetables I really like. Then I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried summer squash. To my surprise it was really good. I am going to try to NOT buy food that is overly packaged.

I will buy others a 5 min shower timer. I bought myself one to make sure I am only using 5 minutes. All I can say is, eye opener.

This is a subject I will take the time and learn more about. Affordable housing is a real struggle and there are many different approaches communities are taking. Generational and traditional dwellings that also heat and cool a house more sustainably are both interesting have multiple positives outcomes.

Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

Pollinators pollinate the majority of flowering plants, making many things we eat come to harvest. They play a crucial role. I love bees and butterflies. Even ants that get peonies to open are amazing.

Hey Team: My question to my self every year is always the same ...... This (the present moment) can not be all life has for me? Well, the Ecochallenge always makes me aware of how to contribute to being an involved part of sustaining this planet. So my work is not done and either is yours! These challenges provide so many options to do the correct thing or correct your bad habits. I love the research for different topics the most. I say I'm not a huge social media fan but I love Youtube.  You can learn any and everything you want to know about everything. We must continue to learn, to question and to find solutions that create a sustainable planet. I take this project on to grow my knowledge and share my results. I really enjoy the post of my teammates and I thank all of you who "High 5" my post.

There are too much disposable items that I use.  Plastic bottles, plastic wrap and plastic sandwich bags fill my waste basket all week long.  As I start a new month, I will try to eliminate some of these items.
