I found it!  Yes I found pink Nasturtiums and they arrived over the weekend.  I have the perfect spot for them on my  front yard.  I have 3, four foot tall 3 dimension trellis sort of things that I bought when a company was going out of business.  This will most definitely add some dimension to the yard.  A few years back we stopped trying to have a grass front yard.  Now I have a boarder of pollinators (lavender) and herbs (parsley, sage, thyme, oregano).  The center now has a fig tree (planted last summer), tomatoes, peppers and squash and cucumbers.  Certain areas have sages (not the kind you plant to eat although you could I guess).

My goals are going good. I have gone through part of my closet and pulled out a few more clothes that needed mending. The challenge gave me the push I needed to mend some clothing that was long overdue.

It's all about Earth Day...Month.  What better time to reconnect with our environment and invite our friends and colleagues (some who we haven't seen in awhile) to make a difference and be impactful!

The last couple of months, and this month especially we have been consciously planning meals at home with plant-based ingredients and hoping to phase out most of our animal proteins within the year.  From not only a health perspective, but for the planet and the animals' well-being, it just seems like the right thing to do.  In that same vein, we are also trying to plan meals around ingredients that have far less packaging, so lots of veggies from the produce section, salads, quinoa and other high protein grains and legumes, etc!

Southern Ca is having a short heat wave. I got up early and went for a quick walk. It's already 68 degrees so it was nice out. A little dark, but I am happy I went.
