April 26 at 7:46 PMI reviewed my retirement portfolio through an investment impact screener and was very surprised to discover I hold investments that significantly contradict my values. As a result, I will reevaluate my portfolio and make some changes! Ignorance is NOT bliss!

April 24 at 3:55 PMFinally some spring weather to make today’s outdoor time even easier to appreciate

April 22 at 6:31 AMHappy Earth Day! Or as I like to call it - Friday (ie. every day is Earth Day!)

April 20 at 6:32 AMThe Cool Climate Calculator available in this action is cool;). It allows you to make pledges to improve and then shows you how much you can reduce your impact with those changes. Fun to play with to see what makes the most difference. I also used it for a client presentation. Win Win.

April 18 at 3:56 PMThis CBS News special with Walter Cronkite from Earth Day 1970 is both fascinating and really depressing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HUtM_LTyIw

April 18 at 1:06 PMConducted two energy audits last week. One through Energyearth and the other through our Gas Company, Peoples Gas. There are no significant findings or recommendations other than replacing our AC/Furnace, which we already planned to do this year. Minor suggestions included purchasing an electricity monitor, faucet aerator, toilet tank bank,...

April 10 at 5:54 PMI went for a jog in a cemetery near my house (not as creepy as it sounds!). The cemetery is designed sort of like a city park-- full of trees and trails. I ran on a new trail this evening and I saw close to 20 deer as well as some geese near a pond. For anyone in Pittsburgh looking for a mostly car-free place to walk, jog, or bike, I recommend...

April 10 at 9:07 AMI downloaded the app Headspace and my partner and I used it to do a ten minute guided meditation this morning. We both agreed that it was a great way to start the day! Once it gets warmer I think it will be great to try meditating outside on my porch or at the park near my house to connect more with the Earth.

April 8 at 7:42 AMI really wish eating meat used less water -> seeing how much this adds to my water footprint does help change my behavior. Also, pet food? I haven't seen this on a calculator before - how can I affect that usage -> Labradors do not skip a meal:)

April 8 at 7:39 AMAs I am a resident who lives in a dorm that doesn't have windows in my room, it's mentally draining. I lose track of time, I'm lazy, and I really don't get to enjoy fresh air without going outside. This is an extreme case, but I believe that going outside for at least an hour a day, whether it be to work out, or to make laps around the green...
