  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?

It surprised me that asparagus was on the clean list-- I expect that fruits and vegetables that already have an outer layer would be more clean than others, but asparagus doesn't appear to have an outer layer. It also helps me to consider buying more asparagus compared to spinach, which was on the Dirty Dozen list.

What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

Today, I'm thinking about how practicing mindfulness can mean taking the time to understand other people's intentions with their actions. Oftentimes, it can be easy to lose patience with others if they accidentally or happen to do something that inconveniences you. But keeping in mind that people usually do have good intentions or don't mean to burden you helps me to be a more mindful and patient person.
