Hey Team: My question to my self every year is always the same ...... This (the present moment) can not be all life has for me? Well, the Ecochallenge always makes me aware of how to contribute to being an involved part of sustaining this planet. So my work is not done and either is yours! These challenges provide so many options to do the correct thing or correct your bad habits. I love the research for different topics the most. I say I'm not a huge social media fan but I love Youtube.  You can learn any and everything you want to know about everything. We must continue to learn, to question and to find solutions that create a sustainable planet. I take this project on to grow my knowledge and share my results. I really enjoy the post of my teammates and I thank all of you who "High 5" my post.

Hey Team: Lets talk saving water by using energy efficient dishwashers. As a child I was one of 4 of my Mother's human dishwashers. This was not at all efficient. I like to do dishes with the water running. Yes, I have always had a high water bill and did not relate it to that bad habit. During the first part of the pandemic an article I read stated the best to disinfect your kitchen ware was to use your dishwasher. Well, it is only me in my place and once a week is sufficient to run the dishwasher instead of by hand each night. I was delighted with the change in my water bill.  About $20,00 per quarter. Changing this one bad habit adds back to my budget $80.00 a year.

Last week at Comerica we celebrated Earth Week. I attended 3 webinars on Sustainable items the world is trying to improve. These were all great videos and very informative guess speakers.  Life needs to be sustain at a higher level than we have been maintaining it. Soon I pray we as the human race will make the different needs for the generations to follow. So that they may enjoy this planet as intended. Due to we as a people mess it up with our bad habits and lack of knowledge.

I am blessed enough the have a portfolio for a few years. I'm been advise to spend some unless I'm willing to generational give it to my beneficiaries. Well my parent and grandparent were unable to do this for me but I'm willing to do it for my grandkids and their unborn children. Now we are not talking millions of course you all know where I work but in years to come it may be enough to place a down payment on something! I have all I need in things. I'm just using my earnings for travel and pleasure events. That is if the stocks and bonds market stay stable. Wish me luck!

My goals are all attainable! I enjoying sharing my journey thru my post and how I'm processing thru this ecochallenge. Awareness is Key is my favorite statement. The more we know the better effort we should make to do better. Being willing to go the extra step to maintain this planet if worth the time invested. I want to thank the Team for joining together to show we care.

Hey Team: I am so glad Comerica Bank is involved with this program. Awareness is half the battle in my view of making intended choices about daily living. Some of us (by that I mean me) are so busy being busy we can overlook that it is up to us to sustain this planet. Its food, water and air to a high level to provide for the future generations. I am just making the effort in my corner of this world and I'm very proud of the team to be doing the same. Lets stay focused!

Health & Equity Spend Time Outside
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    Holly Windom's avatar
    Holly Windom 4/11/2022 5:46 AM
    Hey Team:
Most people who do spend most of there time inside and on screens are not as healthy mental or physically as they could be. The results show up in human behavior acting out like movies and video games due to that the only examples they see. Its the easy connection of trash in trash out results. You are what you watch but we are use to you are what you eat.

Induction Cooking Explained: The Pros and Cons of This Type of Cooking | Martha Stewart

    What Is Induction Cooking?
Induction is electromagnetic. Magnets excite metallic pans to create heat. Pans essentially become burners, eliminating heat transfer through the glass cooktop surface unlike regular electric cooking, thus making it more efficient and safer. Induction cooking is available in a single "burner" or heating zone, a cooktop with multiple heating zones, or a range. Happy Cooking!
