REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Cassi Weiler 4/14/2022 6:54 AMI want to learn more about how feeding my dog and the money I spend on dog food increases my water footprint. That was 190 points of the 850 I received in the calculator. Wow! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place? Was there a new place in your region that was exciting to learn about and visit?
Cassi Weiler 4/12/2022 11:37 AMI feel very grounded when I am outside. It makes me appreciate the beauty around me. I live 3 blocks from the lakefront. It's the best! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Cassi Weiler 4/08/2022 8:02 AMI will create less waste when cooking. Use pieces of food that I might not normally use to make veggie stocks and soups. I eat vegan and compost waste -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat do you enjoy about supporting others who are learning?
Cassi Weiler 4/05/2022 9:00 AMI have always loved teaching. I went to school to be a math teacher, but the salary didn't support the life I wanted to live. I also started at a bad time. Tutoring allows me to continue doing the work I love. Helping students learn math is a win for me because there is a stigma around math. I want to break that! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Cassi Weiler 4/05/2022 8:57 AMRather than ordering in food, I can make whole food meals that are healthy. My wife is fully vegan and I am working my way towards that. Eating sustainable food that leaves less of a carbon footprint is something I am striving to make my daily routine! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat was something you learned from your friends during Earth Month?
Cassi Weiler 4/05/2022 8:56 AMFast Fashion vs Sustainable Fashion! I am not really one to shop, but so many clothes are thrown away rather than re-used. We can do better! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Cassi Weiler 4/05/2022 8:55 AMThrough my words. I can also re-use and recycle items in my household and add them to my wardrobe. Become my own designer!
