REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhy is equity for gender diverse individuals important for a just and sustainable society?
Eva Villarreal 4/28/2022 6:13 PMEquity for gender diverse individuals is important for a just and sustainable society because every group should have the same opportunities. If you promote equality, it will grow sustainability and access to the services that everyone should share. If we allow exclusion or disparity in one group, it will open the door for the exclusion of even more marginalized groups. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was a linking factor across this group of SDGs?
Eva Villarreal 4/28/2022 6:07 PMThe linking factor in SDGS is social economic opportunities. In more developed countries resources are higher, record keeping is higher, and health services are higher. Covid has also highlighted a lot of issues different groups are having. It has also affected access to different health services and education.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhere does the energy in your region come from? Which energy is a renewable source?
Eva Villarreal 4/27/2022 6:56 AMIn Michigan, electrical power is generated from three primary sources: coal, nuclear fission, and natural gas. In 2013, coal-powered plants generated roughly 50% of Michigan’s electricity. But as of September of 2020, they are responsible for only 32.9%. According to the Guide to Michigan energy and electricity. Michigan’s wind energy capacity supplies nearly two-thirds of non-hydroelectric renewable electricity across the state. As of January 2021, the state is home to nearly 1,500 individual turbines. Most operating wind farms are located between Mid- and Central Michigan and the thumb. The turbines are designed to withstand the variable winter and summer extremes of the Michigan climate. -
