  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?

Living in OR, it is easier to xeriscape than in other areas. Though, as of late, the summers here have been bone dry and super hot. I make sure that my yard has nothing but indigenous plant species and no grass lawn.

Knapweeds, leafy spurge, thistles and many other species located in western OR degrade eastern portions of the state.

I switched to Skipjack tuna as the most sustainable option for tuna. I make tuna salad with it...nothing fancy ;)

I just purchased reusable, washable swiffer pads and will no longer be purchasing the disposable paper/plastic ones.

I love to reinvent new clothes by alerting my partner's clothes into something cute and casual! I do the same with my old clothes, when I can. So fun!

No longer use plastic water bottles or disposable cups of any kind. When I travel, I bring my water bottle and fill it as I go.
