REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Kyoti Tavarez 4/30/2022 12:54 PMI have always wanted to get into mindfulness but I didn't commit until this month. It was very centering. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Kyoti Tavarez 4/30/2022 12:51 PMI should definitely start utilizing gray water more and get use to reusing water when I can, instead of dumping all my pasta water or water I use to wash my clothes and such. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Kyoti Tavarez 4/30/2022 12:49 PMAs part of my daily actions, I started trying to take five minute showers. That has been more difficult to implement into my daily life. I already make sure to use soap with the water off and brush my teeth with the water off. Only rinsing also saves water; so those are some methods I already use for water conservation. -
Kyoti Tavarez 4/30/2022 12:40 PMHappy Eco Challenge ! Did you do everything you wanted? Will you do more to contribute for next year? -
Kyoti Tavarez 4/28/2022 1:34 PMAt my boarding school in high-school, we had certain showers that we're misting showers, designed to save water. Maybe we can introduce those into the bathrooms on campus in order to normalize different water saving solutions. -
Kyoti Tavarez 4/28/2022 1:26 PMWe all use so much water!! Even remembering to turn the faucet off when you brush ur teeth saves so much. Are there any little ways that you save water in ur daily life? -
Kyoti Tavarez 4/27/2022 7:54 AMIt was really hard to get my family involved with the Eco Challenge. It really highlights how most people don't open their minds to living sustainably: They would rather not even know there is an issue with the way we run this planet at all. Ignorant bliss is a privilege we no longer can afford.
