Lisa Tangen 4/21/2022 8:29 AMThis challenge has surfaced opportunities to give more thought to my buying habits, esp. laundry detergent and cat litter. I should have known better as 1) my parents were depression-era babies and naturally saved almost everything to repurpose or reuse, 2) I grew up on a farm during a time when we were on our own to dispose of waste (i.e., think compost and burn pile) 3) it has always pained me to throw away (or recycle) perfectly functional packaging like tubs, jugs, bins, jars, etc. I found a video that has inspired me to safely repurpose jars for storage...just need to slow the inflow of jars that fall into that category.-

Lisa Tangen 4/18/2022 8:22 AMTeam, has anyone found a good laundry detergent that requires much less packaging? i've seen ads for paper-like sheets of detergent. Are they any good? I know they might be fine for travel/sink-washing, but how are they for everyday home laundering?-
Brian Nelson (SSC) 4/18/2022 9:47 AMI looked at the ingredients for that product and even sent it to a friend who started a successful bath/laundry soap business when I live in New Zealand...he said it looked worth trying. Just haven't tried it yet. Let me know if you do. :)

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Lisa Tangen 4/13/2022 9:02 AMThe heavens declare the glory of God. The whole earth is full of His glory. Nature is evidence of a Creator God. It's healthy for us to spend time in places that remind us we are part of something larger than ourselves. Using all of our senses to experience the wonders of creation feeds our eternal souls. -
Lisa Tangen 4/04/2022 7:50 AMI have enjoyed learning more about ways to save water.
