  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

laziness would be number 1. Not allowing your brain to exercise itself, not having any stimuli's to help further train your brain.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
How have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?

First, we will buy products that can be used in a variety of dishes, like rice, sauce, herbs and spices. Rather than cooking 2 or more dishes to satisfy everyone's need, create a single dish that everyone will enjoy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Education & Livelihood
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation benefit from active listening?

It was a three way conversation. we gave each other a specific amount of time to reflect their views on the environment, without any interruptions. This allowed all of us to get it out in one shot without feedback. After all three of us spoke, then we commented on each others ideas and what was gained from them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What was surprising about the ingredients in your cleaning supplies, personal care, and pet products?

We make it a point to use organic/natural ingredients, but mixed with chemical ingredients may cause a hazard. I was happy to realize this and now separate organics from non organics when being thrown out.

How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

My wife created a chicken stock with all remains pieces of vegetables. Let it sit over night, drained, strained, and it was delicious!!! Tasted so many flavors.

Shorter Showers for sure. Also realizing how much we sometimes leave the kitchen faucet on while grabbing dirty dishes will greratly reduce our water footprint. My house hold = 4511 gal/day . Goal = 3500 gal/
    day
