Wendy Soethe 4/03/2022 1:45 PMThe Seattle Aquarium has switched to aluminum water bottles for sale and my daughter's school is considering these as a replacement for plastic bottled water for those that do not have a reusable water bottle with them: https://drinkopenwater.com/. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Wendy Soethe 4/02/2022 11:52 PMWorking from home helps reduce my carbon footprint as I do not drive as much. I look forward to reducing it further in a couple of months as I will no longer need to drive my daughter to school. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place? Was there a new place in your region that was exciting to learn about and visit?
Wendy Soethe 4/02/2022 11:46 PMWalked up and back on the Burke Gilman trail starting from Kenmore for about 3 miles today. Healthy, beautiful scenery, hang time with a teen and shared smiles and greetings along the way all enhanced my sense of being active and enjoying this beautiful place we live in. Wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon in Seattle! -
Wendy Soethe 4/01/2022 12:01 PMI joined this challenge because I want to find more ways I can reduce my footprint on this planet, help improve the environment, and help others meet basic needs like access to clean drinking water, even if by one tiny step at a time. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Wendy Soethe 4/01/2022 11:51 AMI will eat less meat to reduce my virtual water consumption. I already recycle everything I can to reduce in that area.
