Anna Skoglund 4/06/2022 9:42 AMFor the last few years I've tried making at least one meatless meal a week, but I'm going to up it to two this month (and beyond--just gotta start the habit for it to stick)! I have a dairy allergy so I'm already very familiar with vegan dairy substitutes but need to educate myself more on alternative protein options other than mushrooms and beans (which we already eat a lot of) and generally more veg-heavy dinner recipes!-
Anna Skoglund 4/07/2022 2:24 PMLove that! I get Hungryroot delivery for 2-3 meals a week and 1 of them is always vegetarian or vegan, but even the meat ones are usually really veggie-heavy. It's helped me realize how a "good" plate should look, a tiny protein, a bit of starch, a ton of veggies!
Jason I've always wanted to try Daily Harvest and there's one like 6 blocks from me so I could pick up on foot... I will look into switching from Hungryroot to DH! -
Amber Crain 4/07/2022 1:55 PMWe get Hello Fresh for our weekly meals and Will put us in for the meat options. But, after two weeks I took over and started switching out for the veggie meals. This week we only had ONE meat meal sent to us. This makes me MUCH happier. (And, remember, I worked for a meat company for 10 years!) -
Jason Brooks 4/06/2022 11:16 AMI recently started ordering from Daily Harvest which provides healthy, natural, meatless meals. My goal is to have at least one of those per day (which I've been able to do for the last month or so). As someone who loves meat, these have been very tasty and have greatly reduced my meat consumption!
