REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?
Basak Sevgin 4/29/2022 9:53 AMAfter checking my purchases for a month, I realized that I am purchasing fast delivered grocery very often, which makes me pay more in general and lose the opportunity to make my own healthy & reduced-waste meals. I started going into groceries for bulk purchases, selecting food mindfully and reduce my wastes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Basak Sevgin 4/29/2022 9:48 AMI used to practice mindfulness 1-2 times a week, but it was no longer a habit for me during last 2-3 months. Eco-challenge check-ins reminded me of doing it each day, I felt so much more in peace with people I integrate with, myself and my surroundings. I am sure I will continue sparing some time to wind down & breathe! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Basak Sevgin 4/11/2022 5:09 PMIt eventually creates laziness, damages individuals' social skills, and decreases self-confidence. Being outside a couple of times each day reverses these negative effects and energizes me back! -
Basak Sevgin 4/06/2022 5:55 AMI am preparing zero-waste meals each day and practicing mindful eating since the beginning of the Challenge, it feels good!
