    Health & Equity
Do you have any tips for others on finding locations that accept products for safe disposal?

Ask your local pharmacy for help in disposing of any unused or old medication before throwing it in the trash! They're always glad to take back medications and dispose of them properly, or point you in the right direction for the same purposes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place? Was there a new place in your region that was exciting to learn about and visit?

Spending time outdoors helps me to realize the community and land that I live on and it brings the eco-conscious side of me into the present space. I have heard a lot about Shikellemy and finally took some time to go out and explore this past weekend!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
What was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?

    Noelle Schwartz 4/27/2022 9:08 AM
I don't have a recipe because it happens to be a guessing game every time, but I have a vegan chili recipe that is absolutely delicious
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Climate & Ecosystems
Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

    Noelle Schwartz's avatar
    Noelle Schwartz 4/27/2022 9:03 AM
Pollinators are the organism that makes the world go round. without them we would have a hard time finding many resources like crops and fruits. My favorite pollinator is the honey bee!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
Where does the energy in your region come from? Which energy is a renewable source?

    Noelle Schwartz's avatar
    Noelle Schwartz 4/27/2022 9:01 AM
some of the energy i use in a day comes from the solar field in the back of campus. this is a renewable and sustainable resource

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    Noelle Schwartz's avatar
    Noelle Schwartz 4/04/2022 1:13 PM
Spending so much time on screens becomes a problem when it turns into ignorance of the world around us. We become oblivious of our impacts on the Earth and those organisms around us.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What plastic or single-use items do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted?

Water bottles are the bane of my existence. buying and then also putting to use, a reusable water bottle reduces an immense amount of plastic for me per day.
