  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
What is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/21/2022 7:46 AM
There are a few practices I am following now:
-> Use bucket of water for shower.
-> Re-use the water for gardening/other non-consumption purposes which was used for washing vegetables, cleaning, washbasin, etc.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
What most interested or surprised you about your energy audit?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 9:24 PM
I got to know we spend the most energy on the electric heater and in another room, there was a high voltage light. Sometimes we also forget to switch it off when moving away from the place.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
What are the climate and disaster risks in your region?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 9:20 PM
I am living in a metropolitan place that is not prone to many natural disasters like floods or earthquakes. However, there is a certain climate change such as there was a temperature increase comparatively in the last few years. As per my research, it is mainly due to more population, cutting down of so many trees to expand roads/metros which significantly increased it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What is easy for you to do when having a constructive conversation and what is challenging? What tips do you have for having a constructive conversation?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 9:15 PM
The easy part was making neutral statements and sharing my own thoughts. A bit challenging was that we must be cautious about what mainly we are trying to communicate, instead of blaming a person or hurting their beliefs.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
What was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 9:10 PM
Made mushroom biriyani with the same spices as South Indian Biriyani. It was delicious and tasty!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
Why is equity for gender diverse individuals important for a just and sustainable society?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 8:56 PM
Providing equal opportunities ensures we get to learn different opinions, and thoughts, and it also reduces the violence, self-sustainable with the work which reduces the dependency and ensures a sustainable society.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 9:45 AM
I am new to mending and learned some good knowledge about it. Felt happy about it as I am reducing the work my mother does and being self-sustainable.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 7:50 AM
There are some vegetables which you cannot cook without peeling. We are keeping all those for the cows in our area as food and it does consume those. I believe we did not waste anything in this scenario!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    Karthick S's avatar
    Karthick S 4/20/2022 1:02 AM
Spent time outside in a park and did a walk & jog. Feel so fresh and much more active. It is also healthy!
