Pasta recipe: Stir fry cherry tomatoes and 100 gr of leek onions, add salt , pepper , olive oil and voilá! Add it to your favorite pasta, mine is spaghetti!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

Although I don't eat some  peels such as banana or papaya peels, I put them in the compost bins.

Plastic bottles filled with wrappings are commonly received by organizations to produce a new material: plastic bricks. Ideally, we should Reduce more than recycle, however in the "plastic era " this is a big challenge and it could be a temporary solution.

I sometimes place a bucket in the shower so I can reuse water in the toilets, there are times I forget so I must remind myself to do it always.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I use to take reusable cups with me everywhere after feeling overwhelmed of  how much cups and disposables are used in restaurants.  I also take small wrappings and plastics to my recycle bins at home.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I go with my neighbors every Saturday to make mulching and composting practices that help us reduce, reuse food and yard waste. We have added  native plants that have flourished attracting pollinating insects!

The Biodigester Bale, also known as Silva Digester Bale, is a process that allows the biological degradation of organic matter into fertilizer, an organic material containing bioavailable nutrients for plants and organisms that benefit soil quality.
The digester bales have become an alternative for the use of organic waste, which is gaining more and more strength in various cities of Colombia and is beginning to be implemented in other countries with great success.
