With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

I'd like to find a way to get the water out of the faucet to heat faster so that I can reduce the amount of water that runs while I wait.
Also, I want to purchase a rain barrel to collect water to use for my garden.

You could put a bucket under faucet to collect water ( while you wait)& pour it on your trees/grass/plants both inside your house & outside! I did that for showers for some time.. thx for the reminder 😉

What was one of your most memorable volunteer experiences, and why? What would you like to volunteer for next, and why?

The Food for All program distributes food to counties in Southwest, OH.  When I load up a person's car, they are always so grateful for our service.  It makes me realize how blessed and privileged I am with my food security.  Next, I would like to volunteer somewhere using my teaching skills.

Start a neighborhood compost pile.  Have a battery, Christmas lights, and light bulb drop off in the neighborhood community space.

I tried to inform some of my community members about the Cincy recycle hub- and even suggested we get large recycle/trash containers- the response I got was:”who’s going yo pay for that?”😢

What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

Nature deficient and inattentive children.  Sedentary life leads to health issues, too.
