Basic Needs & Security
Make Zero-Waste Meals
SDG #2 Zero Hunger
I will cook 1 meal(s) with zero waste each day.
Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG #3 Health & Well-Being
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Economy & Communities
Carry My Trash
SDG #12 Consumption & Production
I will carry all of my unrecyclable, non-compostable trash with me each day to raise my awareness of how much waste I produce.
Economy & Communities
Buy refurbed / recycled goods instead of new ones
Electronic trash is a big problem - wastes a lot of raw materials and pollutes the environment. It is always better to re-use electronic goods - e.g. laptops, smartphones etc. I try to buy used electronic goods as much as possible. There are vendors with a business model of selling only used electronics and they technically check and refurbish the articles (e.g. refurbed in Europe). I bought a laptop 2 years ago which works really fine an a smartphone for my son just now.
