    Health & Equity
Do you have any tips for others on finding locations that accept products for safe disposal?

I'd honestly never heard of sites where you could take you expired medicine, so I'd just suggest they do a google search for finding additional locations.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
Where does the energy in your region come from? Which energy is a renewable source?

    Amirah Nash's avatar
    Amirah Nash 4/11/2022 10:14 AM
I looked up my region using the Power Profiler and found that gas accounts for 69.1% of the fuel mix for my area and nuclear accounts for 9.9%.

I'm really getting into composting my food scraps whenever I'm cooking at home.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

    Amirah Nash 4/11/2022 9:22 AM
Since I'm an avid thrifter, mending clothing is usual for me. I'm not the best at sewing, but I'd advise that fixing ripped seams is the easiest thing to mend (for me, at least).

Doing more research is definitely key
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?

    Amirah Nash's avatar
    Amirah Nash 4/05/2022 8:25 AM
Learning more about composting and bringing my food waste to the compost bin to turn it into plant food.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    Amirah Nash's avatar
    Amirah Nash 4/05/2022 8:11 AM
You miss out on the soothing quality of nature, how fresh air can improve your mood and clear your mind, how the sound of water and/or the birds chirping can be a natural form of therapy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

    Amirah Nash 4/05/2022 8:10 AM
It was relaxing, but I definitely had to recenter myself a couple of times.
