REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow is food equity and access linked to a sustainable future?
Aaron Morris 4/01/2022 5:31 PMA sustainable future means access to healthy and affordable food for all. The "Food Sovereignty" movement which shifts the mindset and language around "food deserts." Using "food desert" makes it seem as if it is something naturally occurring instead of addressing the systematic discriminatory policies that lead to a low income communities having limited access to healthy and affordable food. The Food Sovereignty Movement works toward giving the power to control food access and choice to ALL people which helps create healthier more sustainable food systems.
