REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?
Amy Merrill 4/25/2022 5:49 AMI have previously not looked into ecological landscaping practices, but it something that I will be researching further to choose plants that will allow me to conserve water. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Amy Merrill 4/14/2022 6:40 AMI have already replaced appliances with Energy Star ones. I easy way that I plan to further reduce my carbon footprint is to make a conscious effort to use my reusable grocery bags again. When I do have to use plastic bags, I have been taking them back to the store to put them in the stores bag recycling program. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat most interested or surprised you about your energy audit?
Amy Merrill 4/12/2022 6:03 AMIt really surprised me how much energy that I use in my household. I look forward to learning how I can continue to reduce my energy footprint. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Amy Merrill 4/12/2022 5:59 AMOne way that I reduce water use is by not pre-rinsing dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and then running the dishwasher more frequently even though it isn't full. Running the tap to pre-rinse uses much more water, while running the dishwater more frequently doesn't allow food particles to dry onto the dishes. -
Amy Merrill 4/08/2022 7:08 AMOff to a slower start due to work being so busy, hoping next week is better. Looks like the team is off to a great start - Go Team Green!!!
