    Taking care of the Earth is taking care of the future. However, how can we take care of our future if our planet faces a major global threat? There are thousands of marine mammals that are dying because of plastic pollution. Environmental pollution is also affecting human health. While some are worsening the issues, you can act to solve the problem.

    Over 80%of India's energy needs are met by three fuels: coal, oil and solid biomass. Coal has underpinned the expansion of electricity generation and industry, and remains the largest single fuel in the energy mix.  The major types or sources of renewable energy are: Solar energy from the sun. Geothermal energy from heat inside the earth. Wind energy.

    India has been vulnerable, in varying degrees, to a large number of natural, as well as, human-made disasters on account of its unique geo-climatic and socio- economic conditions. It is highly vulnerable to floods, droughts, cyclones, earthquakes, landslides, avalanches and forest fires

    Nearly ninety per cent of wild flowering plants need pollinators like bees to transfer pollen for strong health condition. In turn, these plants are critical in the functioning of ecosystems. They provide food, form habitats and provide a wide range of other resources for many animal species.

    Drive Less, Walk, take public transportation, carpool, rideshare or bike to your destination when possible. This not only reduces CO2 emissions, it also lessens traffic congestion and the idling of engines that accompanies it.

    Switch to a water efficient showerhead. Showerheads are measured by the number of gallons of water they deliver per minute. 
    Spend less time in the shower.
