  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
How did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?

I like how versatile potatoes are! I use the skins in many dishes because it is so tasty. I also like to use all of the broccoli especially in my stir fry.

I have been using garbanzo beans as a meat replacement for my tacos! Very yummy meat alternative.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

I plan to use less water overall while doing other household chores; using the washer less frequently and not leaving the sink running while washing my hands or doing dishes.

I have a lot of frogs in my yard, there is a neighbor with a pool issue and she won't take care of it. Anyhoo, I find miscellaneous frogs and repurpose them to the local pond in a park so they don't get run over by lawnmowers, or chewed on by dogs or cats. I do like that they eat mosquitos, which are also a by product of neighbor's pool...so some will stay in our yard. We do parts of the yard with an old fashioned non gas powered push mower. It's good exercise.
