Anca Laslau 4/30/2022 3:55 AMCongratulation everybody! If you have 100 or 1000 points you should be proud of yourself! We are changing the world little by little, do not understimate your impact!!! -
Anca Laslau 4/29/2022 12:50 AMI will take this weekend to spend time outside :) -
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 11:58 PMTo be honest, this challenge exceeded my expectations; it should continue throughout the year since I believe I still have a lot to learn. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Get Involved in the Water Justice MovementWho is affected by water insecurity in your region? How are they affected? How are you impacted by water insecurity?
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 8:06 AMWith 2,500 springs and 60% of Europe's mineral waters, Romania is one of the countries with the richest groundwater resources. Even so, it is not entirely safe from the danger of a hydrological crisis. Approx 25% of the population of Romania does not have access to water and only has toilets in the back of their yard. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Learn About Equitable Food AccessHow is food equity and access linked to a sustainable future?
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 7:46 AM1. Because cities are designed in such a manner that certain individuals do not have access to basic and healthful food, these people will naturally have greater incidences of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, strokes, and death.
2. We don't eat with social, racial, economic, or environmental justice in mind? We buy too much and squander too much food; we buy food that is not locally produced, "non-traditional," since it is less expensive and everyone does it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Safe Disposal of Medications and Household ChemicalsDo you have any tips for others on finding locations that accept products for safe disposal?
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 7:32 AMIn Romania, I recommend taking your cleaning products containers to Kaufland, your oil to Auchan, and your cosmetics to Sephora. Also for used clothes that are too old to donate you can take them to H&M, -
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 6:41 AM6 digitsssss, 100743 points! Bravo, team! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Get To Know Your WatershedWhat watershed do you live in presently? What is something interesting or unique about your watershed?
Anca Laslau 4/27/2022 6:25 AMI live in the Somes watershed which is populated by 1 800 000 inhabitants in northwest Romania. The Somes originates south ofCluj-Napoca and flows, after 370 km, into the Tiza in Hungary and later into the Danube. Unfortunately, Somes receives a variety of organic wastes from urban areas, factories, and individual households and treated and nearly untreated wastewater effluents from several cities. -
