REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat did you think of the training? What new concepts did you learn?
Katie Kloos 4/08/2022 3:21 PMThis training helped me confirm some of the terminology, in an easy-to-understand manner. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Katie Kloos 4/06/2022 1:16 PMThis is actually more difficult for me to do because I am someone who tends to grab for my phone right away in the morning, to check email before hopping on a call or heading into the office. I have been going to bed a bit earlier than I normally do and I also set my alarm for a bit earlier. This helped me set a better routine, allowing time for a bit of mindfulness at the beginning and end of my day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityHow did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?
Katie Kloos 4/06/2022 1:11 PMSo far this has been kind of fun to challenge myself. I made some really good green lentil soup and plan to make other different kinds of soup. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Katie Kloos 4/06/2022 1:10 PMThis has been one of the easiest actions to improve. I also am more aware of times when I might accidentally leave water running, for example, when doing dishes or other household chores. -
Katie Kloos 4/05/2022 9:05 AMI joined the challenge because, even though I already have a lot of good habits surrounding recycling and conservation, I know that there are areas where I can improve. I also am naturally interested in many of the topics and believe participating in the program will help me form better habits.
