REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?
Joseph Klemp 4/06/2022 7:18 AMMy question is where are you shopping at that you have to worry about this issue? Growing your own produce or getting your vegetables directly form the farm reduces this issue. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat watershed do you live in presently? What is something interesting or unique about your watershed?
Joseph Klemp 4/06/2022 7:15 AMDesPlaines River watershed. It is unique in that it is a glacial formed river system between two lateral moraines. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Joseph Klemp 4/06/2022 7:13 AMHaving my house on a residential well reduces my water use by at least 200 gallons per day of unused water stored in unnecessary supply lines. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat was something important you learned about renter rights and affordable housing?
Joseph Klemp 4/04/2022 7:53 AMThis is a surprising area to me as a lessor. I lose money monthly on my rental due to taxes and mortgages and cannot rent at a value commensurate with these costs. I dare not sell as it would put me in the poor house due to realtor fees, sales fees, and taxes. Until taxes and mortgages line up with actual property values, no-one will have an equitable housing cost.
Overall it seems to me that this will only hurt the lessor and lessee with the only entities coming out ahead are the banks.
