I will save up to 6 gallons (23 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers. Tip: Use a timer to practice or count to 60 a few times.

Climate & Ecosystems

Ecological & Xeriscape Gardening

ONE-TIME ACTION

Waste No Food

Nothing edible will be wasted or thrown away in a trash receptacle. All food remnants will either be: * composted for my vegetable garden * given to the backyard chickens, or * will be taken off our home property to a nearby wilderness area to feed the deer, rabbits, roadrunners, possums and armadillos that are seen roaming the area.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

Cultures that shut themselves mainly indoors and focus on a screen will lose the ability to connect on a personal nature, with people, animals, and nature, show empathy, share cultures, be good neighbors.

Yes I do agree. I notice I ensure my daughter have my grandchild to go outside and enjoy her nature. It is simple but can get lost with screen time.
