Watch the short video below to learn the basics.
You'll be an Earth Month Ecochallenge 2022: Sustainable Development Goals expert in no time!
I will sign up for Comerica's Master of Sustainability Awareness Program and will work on my MSA Seedling level certification (or higher certifications for existing MSA participants).
SDG #3 Health & Well-Being
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
SDG #6 Water & Sanitation
I will save up to 6 gallons (23 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers. Tip: Use a timer to practice or count to 60 a few times.
SDG #14 & 15
I will do one or more of the following actions in my yard, or volunteer in my community: plant indigenous plants, landscape with water-efficient plants, add mulching, replace a lawn, and/or use eco-friendly fertilizers.
Nothing edible will be wasted or thrown away in a trash receptacle. All food remnants will either be: * composted for my vegetable garden * given to the backyard chickens, or * will be taken off our home property to a nearby wilderness area to feed the deer, rabbits, roadrunners, possums and armadillos that are seen roaming the area.
