I will practice actively listening to a friend, family member, co-worker, peer, or someone who has a different experience/identity for 1 conversations per day.

I will visit ewg.org to learn about and use their Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen produce lists.

I will spend 30 minutes learning about my watershed and the particular water issues my region faces.

I will spend 15 minutes each day studying the toxic chemicals found in cleaning supplies, personal care, and pet products around my home.

In my community, I will volunteer at a community shelter, food pantry or soup kitchen.

I will complete an online energy audit of my home, office, or dorm room and identify my next steps for saving energy.

I will develop a readiness plan for my household in the event of an emergency.

Throughout the day, I will note the single-use plastics I use and consider the reusable options available to me.

I will do one or more of the following actions in my yard, or volunteer in my community: plant indigenous plants, landscape with water-efficient plants, add mulching, replace a lawn, and/or use eco-friendly fertilizers.

Indigenous plants or native plants are those that originated in a given geographic area without human involvement or that arrived there without intentional or unintentional intervention of humans from an area in which they originally originated. Native/Indigenous plants and grasses have adapted to the soil in which they grow and usually use less water compared to non-native plants. When your entire garden is native plants, large water savings can be achieved annually.
