- A balanced digestion is very important for a long term health . We need to give time to our body to process the hard food, including the meat. For this reason 2 days per week is, in my opinion, enough to eat meat. Our body is challenged in contact with different chemicals and modified product. Our life is enough stressful and static. Therefor, we need to create an alimentation plan which is in concordance with the specific of oru actual life and age.

CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/28/2022 12:20 AMWhen I joined the challenge my thoughts were : I want to help the team.. I have the dream "to be more green "... I have some eco-habits... why not to explore more.. lets see what I can learn from others...The Nature is so nice and giving us so much ...we have a responsibility for this Planet, for the next generation , for my children ... lets see what I can do more ...now, and not tomorrow !
Than, I started to enjoy learning and finding different articles ..some of them presented new aspects ( for me ), others just summarizing my thoughts ...Finally , it became a daily activity , not only reading articles but a practical activity to better organize my house , my waste, my garden, my consumptions .. I have started a discussion to evaluate how I can use green energy in my house, I have bought specific containers to collect waste in a selective way, I am more attentive to what ( and how much ) I buy from supermarket...I have developed a new thinking , attention and habits. Thanks ! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhy do you think it is important to eat less meat?

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat are the climate and disaster risks in your region?
CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/05/2022 10:38 AMIn our region we don't have high disaster risks but I can imagine that the change in the climate due to the forest/green areas cutting around our city, high traffic ( too many cars ), constructions agglomeration could create problems as heavy rains, dry summers, strong winds or air pollution which will affect our health and life. -
CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/05/2022 10:29 AMStarting autumn, last year, I have started to collect selectively the house waste. I have special containers for plastic, glass, carton & paper and, in the garden, I have raised a box were I am collecting the vegetable waste from kitchen and garden. I guess that in 1 year I can use the content of the box to enrich the garden ground. -
CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/05/2022 10:20 AMAs little as 5 minutes of outdoor activity can help improve your self-esteem. This is especially true if you’re near a green space. And it’s not high-intensity exercise that does it best. More relaxed activity like a walk, bike ride, or work in the garden seems to work even better.

CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/04/2022 10:16 AMI collect the raining water in big recipients and use it in the garden . -
CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/03/2022 10:12 AMOne benefit of spending time outside is that it boosts your creativity.Studies show that time in nature can boost your creative problem-solving abilities. This is partly because the outside world engages your attention in a quieter way that lets your attention refocus. Good answers and brilliant ideas come form a silent mind. The more time you spend, the bigger the benefit, but even just "getting out for some air" can nudge your brain into a new thought pattern.

CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/02/2022 7:23 AMOne natural cleaner that I am currently using in my house is the " Soap nuts ", replacing the detergent.
Some people are preparing and using showing gel and shampoo from these soap nuts.
You need only a cup of these soap nuts for 1 time cleaning through washing machine . You save money, its natural and the result is the same or much better as when you use detergent.
The soap nuts are a berry shell that naturally contains a cleaning agent that works like detergent. They grow on the Sapindus mukorossi (Soap Berry) tree in the Himalayas . Despite the “soap” in its name, soap nuts DO NOT contain soap that causes soap scum and buildup like a regular bar of soap does. The natural cleaning agent found in these berries is called saponin. Saponin works as a surfactant, breaking the surface tension of the water to penetrate the fibers of your clothing, lifting stains from the fabric, and leaving dirt suspended in the water that is rinsed away.Eco Nuts Soap are gentle on both clothes and skin, making them ideal for those with sensitive skin, eczema, allergies and psoriasis. Because they are so mild, they are perfect for baby clothes. Eco Nuts Soap are also great for septic and grey water systems. Unlike commercial detergents that have artificial foaming agents, soap nuts do not produce lots of bubbles or foam. While commercial detergents and soaps have marketed heavily around that visual, foam simply is not an indicator of cleaning power.

CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/02/2022 6:53 AMSpending time outside, in a green area , is beneficial to your health and your soul ...even for some minutes . If it's raining you can stay in front of an open window looking to a tree, to the ski, making some exercises, listening the nature, the birds... focusing your attention to the silence and letting go all your day-to-day thoughts and concerns. If you can get in the nature , even for some minutes and even it's raining ...you will have a special experience. Feel the joy of the growing grass and the ground receiving the blessing water, make some exercises inspiring the fresh air and enjoy the pure energy of the nature.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
CARMELA HALMAGHI 4/01/2022 6:14 AMDo you know that starting 2020 Farmec SA has launched a recycling program named " Take care of the nature as you take care of yourself "? The campaign takes place in all Farmec and Gerovital stores in the country. Customers can bring to these collection points paper packaging waste ( cream boxes ), plastic ( shampoo containers, shower gels), glass, metal, aluminium ( spray cans ). Of course that containers must be emptied, rinsed and cleaned.Four packs from the portfolio of Farmec S.A. consumers receive a gift product based on a card that will be stamped on each package brought to the store. Excellent initiative ! Lets support Recycling and Romanian companies!
