REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Liz Gruber 4/22/2022 1:49 PMSince I'm trying all sorts of new things this month, I decided to do a guided meditation today and it was great! So helpful to have a voice getting me out of my own head. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?
Liz Gruber 4/20/2022 4:27 PMI knew that strawberries and bell peppers were on the dirty dozen list but I didn't realize that kale, celery and spinach, which I eat a lot of, were too. I need to think more seriously about growing some of my own produce!-

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Liz Gruber 4/20/2022 4:17 PMAs it pertains to sustainability, people will be less aware of the nature around them and perhaps less interested in preserving it. On a personal level, I believe they will be less healthy -- physically and mentally. Having worked out of my house for two years, I'm finding that I crave being outside more and more. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
Liz Gruber 4/20/2022 4:13 PMThis is amazing! The recipe is vegetarian but can easily be adjusted to make it vegan. Quick and healthy too! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Liz Gruber 4/12/2022 5:02 PMSeems like the largest place I could reduce water usage is related to my diet. Will think long and hard about red meat! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Liz Gruber 4/01/2022 1:31 PMBeing more consistent about not running the water when I'm brushing my teeth.
