Lisa Dowling 4/29/2022 3:32 PMI was not as good as I hoped to be for earth month, but every day I thought about my footprint. I did change up my regular yogurt routine to reduce the number of single use containers, I bundled my Amazon deliveries (but am still sad about how much waste I created), was conscious of the length of my showers (not terrible, but could be shorter). I hope to keep the ecochallenge in mind long after this is over. Thanks to Brooke and team. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Lisa Dowling 4/12/2022 8:55 AMI just took a month off because my life was not in balance. I spent part of that month hiking in places I've never been before. Seeing such beautiful scenery helps us understand what it is we're trying to save through sustainability efforts. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat plastic or single-use items do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted?
Lisa Dowling 4/04/2022 11:57 AMI am very much attempting to reduce my single use plastics, but once again I have a container of Chobani yogurt on my desk. I have written to Chobani to see if my flavor will be offered in their large container, but did not receive a response from them. I contemplate switching flavors to address this. I could also look into making my own, but don't know that I would do that consistently.-
Brooke Rolph 4/04/2022 5:50 PMI totally get it. Maybe compromise and switch flavors sometimes to reduce plastic, but leave room to enjoy your favorite sometimes too. I love that you emailed them about it! Great work!
